How I got into equine bodywork
After more than 20 years in private practice working with humans I decided to take a giant leap of faith and pursued training to work with horses. This wild dream was ignited several years ago while working with a client who competed as a hunter-jumper. One day she invited me to out her barn, and while there I had an interaction with her Gypsy Vanner named Clover that can only be described as magical. Clover sparked a curiosity and sense of belonging in me that I had never experienced with any animal before. I knew after that moment that horses truly are spiritual beings, willing and capable of guiding us. Observing my client among her beautiful horses I became acutely aware of this entanglement riders have with their horses. This completely fascinated me and the thought of working with horses and riders never left.
My personal life
I grew up in a small town outside of Seattle WA. My childhood was spent exploring the forests and mountains of the PNW. When I was young I did most of this with my amazing adventurous father. I credit him for instilling not only a love for nature but also a commitment to advocate for all beings. I currently live in Indian Hills with my husband, two teenage children, my two cats Tova and Little Baby, my sweet little dog Zelda, and our two Mustangs Tupelo and Dreamer. When not hanging out with horses I enjoy hiking and snowboarding.
